Chinese Pistache

Pistacia chinensis

A small to medium-sized tree native to central and Western China. It is hard and can withstand harsh conditions and poor soil quality. Grows to heights of 40-50 feet and has an equal spread. Pinnate leaves measure 18 inches long and turn a brilliant red color in the fall. Tree is resistant to oak root fungus. This tree is one of the only trees that will produce red fall colors in the desert.
